Having read over the responses, I would supplement your question with a further question:
What has been done to address the inequities of the previous election?
Why not create a movement around the securing of the democratic process in the U. S.?
That would be a place to start, perhaps.
I think, from there, you would also wish to look at preferential voting. (You get to vote for your first, second, third choice. That way, if there's no clear winner, and your guy was a distant third your second place vote comes into play! And so, many more people get to vote for candidates that are idealistic and unsupported by big money without worrying about strategic voting).

I find it fitting that you should choose to use a French term, given that France was instrumental in our first coup d'etat, the Revolutionary War.
Do you believe that our current government has become "absolute Despotism"? If so, then it is your duty to throw off that government. This can be achieved a few different ways, the most civil being at the ballot box.

I am not saying the Government is perfect in any way but that would never solve any problem. Just think of what they are dealing with on a day to day basis. And then look at just a few things they have done in the past...
Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.
When the franc was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it. When distant cities are hit by earthquakes, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.
When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the American who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.
I can name you 5,000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.
For this they should be stepped on? thrown out? What so YOU could step in and do a better job!? Politics are far more than throwing your weight around and making up laws to force people into line. Our forefathers escaped a monarchy government and I for 1 do not wish to go back to one.

Good luck with that.
Typically the first thing that happens in a revolution is the killing off of the "elites." (This would include people rich enough to own and knowledgeable enough to use computers.)
The first wave of killings would be followed by a second wave. (This is usually when the more radical "reformers" kill off the people who came up with the idea in the first place, typically because the first group are seen as not "hardcore" enough.)
The U.S. was very fortunate in having a relatively peaceful organization process the first time around. (Compare France, China, South Africa.) It's not likely that we would be so lucky a second time.

And who is going to head this coup? Me, you? You do realize that means a whole new government and constitution, the complete abolishment of the one we have now, and while we are not abiding by it, it is still a great ideal.
No, a coup is not in order here, but new people in power most definately. Vote your heart, don't vote party.

First of all, are you ready to be killed maimed or the victim of any number of atrocities that go hand-in-hand with war. or do you wish someone else would do it while you sit in the relative safety of your favorite coffee shop?
The peaceful transition of power is the proudest example this country has to the rest of the world.
We just have to remember the enormous responsibility that we have in holding our elected officials accountable.
Historically Democracies (I know we started out as a Republic) are a stones throw away from a dictatorship.
