Green tea increases your metabolism by up to 5% short-term so if had every day, is a great way to help you lose weight.

It does not contribute majorly to the weight loss as I'd imagine the diet and exercise when trying to lead a healthy lifestyle to lose weight, would do that.

I used to drink green tea but it doesn't have a very nice taste and is a bit dull and placid to some people but if that doesn't bother you then I would stick to drinking Green tea rather than drinking regular sugar and milk tea.

Foods with 'negative' calories also burn off extra calories as your body uses up more energy digesting it than it does actually burning it off. Negative foods are things such as :

Tea is a natural direutic. So, any weight that comes off is probably because you're going pee more. However, green tea is supposedly loaded with antioxidants, which are wonderfully healthy, and it has no calories, which means you're filling up your stomach and not eating as much (hopefully). So, can drinking more green tea help you lose weight....yes. However, so can drinking more water...the key is, and always will be, to take in less calories than you burn.

Medical studies show that it MAY help, but it's not a case of drinking the tea and watching the pounds fall off. There are other benefits to green tea though. Take a look at this article, and see if that gives you any insight.

I chewed green tea gum for a while when dieting...I don't know that it helped my diet at all and I finally quit using it. The best way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise.

Green Tea is supposed to be helpful in cleansing the body of toxins. If you want to lose weight (and are not already anorexic) eat small portions of healthy low fat food 5 times a day and excercise moderately at least 3 tmes a week. You wanna look good and feel good, you gotta start with getting the right frame of mind otherwise you are fighting a losing battle. Good luck.

I have been trying to lose weight also and have been using slim fast the drinks-also I have been drinking some green tea-I am thinking you could even drink it all day long-a friend of mine did and made it cold and added honey and ginger root (ground up) and she did real well!! I think that I will make myself a picture of cold tea!! This winter I will drink it hot!!! she also ate a lot of fresh vegetables and watched her calories-she is older then me and she aways looks great!! (So far I have lost a little over 40 lbs) and hope to lose enough to be called skinny!!!!

Green tea helps flush all the toxins out of your body - this in itself wont make you loose weight but if you drink 3 cups a day and have a healthy diet with a bit of exercise you will loose weight, have bags of energy and a lovely glowing complexion xx
