She gets on her tummy and just "swims" with her arms, but hasn't figured out the concept of bringing her little legs up. She can raise up great on her chest. How long does this "fussy"ness go on before they master it? Weeks, months?? She easily flips from tummy to back, but doesn't seem to want to ... would rather sit there and throw a fit "trying" to crawl...haha. Thanks!!!
P.S. I realize this is probably normal! ha!

It'll be a few weeks. Why dont u try helping her? lift her little body up a bit and help her a bit. :)
dont worry, itll only last a few weeks. Ask your doctor at what age she should start crawling, if she is still under the time, shes fine. Unless shes like 10 months and cannot crawl, then there is something wrong. But your little trooper will eventually do it and youll be a proud momma !!!!

In a few weeks to a month she'll figure it out. Trying moving her arms and legs for her. And also crawl on the floor next to her so she can see you do it. I honestly think those two activities helped my baby move along quicker.

Good luck!

my son just turned 7 months and does the same thing. He wants to go and gets mad because he can't. He is starting to sit on his own. I have to put him in the sitting position he cant do it himself yet. He will sit pretty good so i guess he will master that soon. The crawling I have no idea because he just lays there and gets mad or he will roll to where he wants to go.

Ambitious is great! Just keep practicing, she will get it!

My baby, too, is very ambitious; however, she was premature so she's naturally behind. Don't give up, your baby will get it when she's ready. My little girl didn't crawl until 10 months and is just now pulling up to stand at 12 months.

If you live in a country that allows walkers they are the perfect answer.. my little grandson has been in one since he 5-1/2 months old..7 months now and having a wonderful time chasing his little brother around. makes for a happier baby..just keep all stairs blocked off.

My daughter never really crawled. She would just kinda drag herself around on the floor without using her legs. She looked like she was in the military. But she got to where she was going. She was 14 months before she started walking. All children are different, just give her time she gonna figure it out. Then you gonna be looking all over the house trying to figure out where she done went this time.

yes, this is normal...my baby niece was also this way...she didn't get to crawling til she was around 7-8 months old....your lil girl will learn soon...i can't guarantee how long since every baby is different, but I'm sure it'll be soon since she has a big determination to move ;)

it shouldnt last long at all, maybe a week at the most. if she wants to do it she will set her little mind to it and do it. maybe it would help if you showed her how to do it, like lay beside her and get up to a crawling position and crawl, i know it may sound silly but babies learn by watching.

Wish I knew. . .we're in the exact same boat! I know we can't rush in and "save" her or she'll never learn to crawl. So instead, we just get down to her level and clap and cheer at her efforts. . .it stops the screaming for a few moments and she smiles and laughs. Good luck!
