The average summer temperature may be slightly higher, however what most people, who think 'Global Warming wud b gud becuz I like it warm' don't know, is that it will also be cloudier, there will be more rain overall, and extreme weather will be more extreme, including increased tornadoes, because of increased evaporation from the whopping great Atlantic ocean. Two years might not actually see much change to be fair, think 15 years and some serious changes will be seen (and felt).

Britain is in the firing line really because of our latitude, the position of the polar front jet (stream) and the fact that we are a maritime country. We have the potential for some seriously extreme weather.

You wanna see evidence of global warming? Watch the news in the next few years for more tornadoes being reported on the ground in Britain (we already have the highest number of airborne tornadoes in the world). And then start to worry. You heard it here first folks.

A little parting shot here: The debate is virtually over. Any remaining scientist who does not agree that human activity is seriously affecting the normal variation in climate is deluding themselves, the evidence is very clear. You only need to read it.

Oh and a little side info on variations in temp from year to year. We get an 11 year (roughly) cycle of increasing and decreasing solar output from the sun. That is (partly) why there are a few years of crappy cold summers, and then a few good uns.

No ..It's scaremongering .........Climate has changed throughout the ages ...sometimes warmer sometimes colder .Back in the sixties we had a couple of cold snaps and lots of snow and the so-called pundits were forecasting the next Ice-age! Anyone remember?

its hard to say, i remember 20 yrs ago the summers seemed to be long and hot then it changed so that we had short rubbish ones and it seems that we are goin back to how it used to be. I would like to think it will be as winters here are far to long and dull.
