What makes people commit crimes?

Power, fear, drugs, how can so many people commit so many heinous crimes each year?

People commit crimes because they love to hate and be violent - nothing makes people commit crimes, they simply choose to do them. If, for example, poverty caused people to rob then all poor people would rob but that is certainly not the case.
