I would do it as long as the sperm isnt contaminated, and my hubby said it would be cool with him. I love my husband very much, and I would want to carry on his name and blood line. He deserves that, he truly is a good man.

If you are thinking about having a child some day and your partner is sick and wants it too, then absolutely, I would do that. It is not going to be cheap to do, but, if you don't care about the price and can afford it, God bless you. I know I would do that if my husband was ill and possibly dying, I would do it too with the support of mine and his families and friends.
Now, with you and your religious beliefs, that is up to you and your church, on what is and isn't accepted and/of approved. If that is something you and your partner have thought about and are wanting to do, I would go talk to your minister, priest or pastor for advice. If you don't care what they think and are planning on doing that for yourself and partner, I hope that all goes well and you get what you are hoping for. A healthy and happy baby.

My partner would not be male and no even if I was a woman I wouldn't want that. If he is sick it might be a hereditary thing and no sense in birthing a baby that will be set up for disaster if it's daddy passed on a bad Gene.
Nope, no thanks there are plenty of kids that need adopting already without bringing in another bundle of joy into this violent unsettled world.

If it is just a boyfriend, NO. If it is my husband, I think I would discuss it with him before he passes and find out if that is what he wants. If he says no, then I wouldn't. If he says yes, then I would grant him his wish. I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as you are not doing it against his will. Plus I would have to know that I can take care of the child on my own financially and otherwise. I would not want the child to punish if I can not afford to take care of him/her.

Sure, if it was found that the sperm were healthy. I'd try to get pregnant the natural way if I could, but if he couldn't b/c of health reasons and we knew he was going to die, I'd do it to let our son have a brother or sister.

no. we've already made a decision not to have kids together. plus i think it would be TOTALLY unfair to a kid to bring them up without him in their lives. i raised my son for the first 4 years of his life by myself & it's really hard, and unfair to him. i wouldn't do it again, this time planned.

I would do it! If you love someone and you both intended to have a family, then what better way to honor him than fulfilling that dream!
