Should the left quit comparing Bush to Hitler?

Okay, I get it - you think he's evil or stupid.

But lets get some facts about Hitler and Bush and compare them side by side.

Bush - 20k? civilians dead.
Hitler - 11 million civilians dead. (6 million jews)

Bush - commanded an army of 100k+ or so
Hitler - commanded an army of 6 million

Bush - Commands a country where people can actually call him down.
Hitler - Commanded a country where traitors were shot or jailed.

Bush - Invaded two countries.
Hitler - Invaded oh I don't know...10 i'd say? Not to mention the Axis pretty much controlled all of Europe.

Bush - Actually has to argue and show proof to invade countries.
Hitler - Pretty much invaded at a whim.

Bush - you don't have to agree with this, 'wants to spread democracy'
Hitler - Wanted to make Aryans the only race.

Bush - Tries to recruit more soldiers.
Hitler - Went to lengths that included but aren't limited to: Hitler Youth, S.S., S.A., Gestapo, etc. etc.

Bush -.... you get the picture.

thank you liberals for agreeing - I like when some of you show some sanity.

I'm comparing the two to make it a point that they should in no way be compared for political arguments,

which is what bush is sometimes compared to.

and about the comment that bush and hitler both have the same aims but bush doesn't have the intellect to wield his dream or whatever

Need I remind you just as we were after Pearl Harbor, we command much more power over Germany, and right now we are arguably the strongest nation on the planet.

And you're telling me he's too stupid or doesn't have the same power as Hitler?

I would go into the military specifics some more and the political specifics such as he continued staying in office whereas Bush is done in two years because

this is AMERICA, and we aren't NAZIS, and Bush can NOT be compared to Hitler.

Bush = moderate conservative, realtively sane

Hitler = liberal socialist, pretty f***ing nuts

There is no comparison, liberals are flaunting their ignorance everytime they make one.

Hitler--- democratically elected
Bush--- democratically elected

Hitler --- Burned down the Reichstag to fight a war on terror and started to hack away at personal liberty.
Bush --- Has 9/11 to fight a war on terror (I am not saying Bush planned 9/11. ) and started to hack away at personal liberty.

Hitler --- invaded Czechoslovakia, Poland then France. These are the first three major ones anyway.
Bush --- Invaded Afghanistan, Iraq and is now preparing for Iran.

Does this mean anything? I don't know. I don't have much faith in coincidence either.

I don't really buy into the democrans comparisons.
Also, I don't buy into the republicrats comparisons of Bush being the Savior of the free world.

So in essence what you are stating is that in a head to head comparison, Bush and Hitler are equally immoral, it is just that Hitler had more talent and resources at his disposal to exercise his immorality to the extent that it had greater ramifications for the world. Bush is a political thug but an incompetent one, while Hitler was a criminal mastermind. Bush would like to impose his will on other nations, but given the political environment he is in, he neither has the intellect or power to do that, while Hitler was more intelligent in manipulating the democracy in his own country to relinquish more of its power to him.

Its sad that the line of demarcation that is separating Bush, the leader of the free world, from one of the most pernicious despots of all time, is a more restrictive political environment and lack of military genius. I will thank God today for inventing incompetence and idiocy. I see his divine plan now. He counter balances tyranny by making some tyrants bumbling incompetents.

I made this point several times.I totally agree.
I'm very left wing and I think Bush is a bad President and politician and that he is a disgrace for us,European allies,but to compare him with Hitler is unacceptable.It's not only wrong but also insulting for the victims of the Nazi's.It weakens terms if they are used in vain.This could help real fascists if they try to gain power.
So,there you have it,I agree with you.It should stop and it weakens our(the left side) position
Like I always like to say;Bush doesn't advocate genocide,most likely he can't even pronounce the word.

shrubby is no hitler, not at all, hitler was intelligent and could speak his own language!! Oh, and shrubby doesn't bother with "proof" to get us into wars, because he had none!! HE LIED, REMEMBER?? And though shrubby has comitted far fewer atrocities and order fewer killings than hitler, he is no different from him in that he gets off on it, the are both pure sociopaths, consider shrubby's chilling quote; "This would be a whole lot easier if it were a dictatorship"?
If shrubby had hitler's unquestioned power the death camps would go up in no time!
Consider also the following:
*wrote personal exemptions from 750 laws
*has deliberately broken at least 26
*is the first president to succesfully rig, and thus steal the job
*is the first president to have lied his nation into a disasterous war, and never admit to the lies
*is the first president to take credit for legislation passed over his own veto (1st campaign when he claimed credit for an education bill that in truth he violently opposed, just another lie to him)
*is quite easily the dumbest president we have ever had (stuck in a children's book for 7 minutes after being informed that his nation was under attack, not moving until aides finally told him what to do)
*first president whose service records mysteriously "vanished", so nobody can prove definitively that he was a deserter.
*first president to BE a deserter!
*first president to speak worse english than your average 10 year old
*first president with a f*cking DUI on his record!!
*openly admitted that he "didn't care" anymore about the man who so grieviously attacked our nation, osama bin laden, never stated why
*disbanded the CIA unit who was hunting bin laden, interfeared or counter-manded attemts to find him, why?
first president to turn a budget surplus into the largest deficit in history
*first president to have utterly failed at every other business except politics, bankrupting his oil company and running his baseball team into the ground

Many of your points on Bush are wrong, skewed, or illogical, but the left should never stop talking about whatever they want to talk about. The 1st Amendment allows them that protection. But, the curse of the first amendment is that you have to then defend what you have said and be responsible for it.

And to clarify - The Left doesn't usually talk about irrelevant things like the amount of soldiers and the amount of dead, typically it's how two leaders went crazy with power and decided that they wanted to rule the world, damn the consequences.
