Grapefruit provide an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium, and dietary fiber, plus they have no fat and no cholesterol. 1/2 Grapefruit contains about 60 calories.
Aromatherapy experts have touted that inhalation of the oil can lift the spirits and is ideal in a warm bath to feel refreshed and invigorated.
here are some ideas or the body with grapefruit
Baths—Add a few drops of grapefruit oil to a bath or hydrotherapy tub for a detoxifying and uplifting service. This can be sold as an add-on to a Swedish massage or other citrus body treatments.
Body treatments—A body scrub, wrap and massage are a wonderful combination to achieve a more toned and refreshed feel to the skin. Look for product lines that have scrubs, boosts and lotion that contain grapefruit oil. A trio of products can be used during the service, and then easily marketed as a weekly at-home slimming regimen.
Massage—Combine grapefruit essential oil with massage lotion for an uplifting and detoxifying massage. Focus on the abdomen for a cleansing and digestive aid, and be sure to provide the client with plenty of water to keep them hydrated and assist in the detoxification process. Sprinkle a few drops of the oil on a tissue and tuck it under the table or face cradle for an added boost.
Nails—Grapefruit used in a pedicure can provide a cooling sensation to tired, overworked feet. Mixed with sea salts and a little shea butter for a hand or foot scrub, the grapefruit scent is the hero here and can be a wonderful complement to any manicure or pedicure. Experiment with different scents and products to find the perfect combination.

It raises your metabolism. Making you lose weight faster and easier. A lot of people I know including my mother go on grapefruit diets. I personally hate grapefruit it tastes sour or bitter. I don't exactly know what the taste is but I don't like it. I think it is an acquired taste. May be if you want to lose weight then it is a great diet.

Limonoids
Phytochemicals in grapefruit called limonoids inhibit tumor formation by promoting the formation of glutathione-S-transferase, a detoxifying enzyme. This enzyme sparks a reaction in the liver that helps to make toxic compounds more water soluble for excretion from the body. Pulp of citrus fruits like grapefruit contain glucarates, compounds which may help prevent breast cancer.
In animal studies and laboratory tests with human cells, limonoids have been shown to help fight cancers of the mouth, skin, lung, breast, stomach and colon.
(sounds like your "somebody" is a control freak!)

Well it's high in Vitamin C and said to help the body burn fat. I think all fruit is generally good for the body. Many facial products contain fruit extracts and acids that benefit the skin against wrinking, and have anti-oxidant properties too.
