Mac computers?

Question

Why do macs have a top speed of like 3 Ghz and PCs can have 4Ghz, why cant macs go that fast? Also, what does the "i" mean thats in front of everything?

Mac's use the fastest processor commercially available - 64 bit Xeon. The frequency of a processor (ie 4Ghz) DOES NOT mean a processor that computes faster.
Imagine a 1 litre car reving at 6000 RPM, is it faster than a 6 litre car reving at 4000 RPM ? No its not.
The Xeon is two processors on one die, the Mac actually uses 2 of these (so thats FOUR processors in total!).

Mac's are faster than Windows based PC's, even when the PC is using the same processor. Windows is a monolithic operating system with support for all previous version of applications. Its a dinosaur.

Remember, the first personal computer EVER to be classed as a Super Computer due too its speed was a Mac. Windows users like to shout and scream they have the better system, but the facts speak for themselves.
Windows users are always shouting at Mac users, but we all know that the empty vessel makes the most noise.

MACS run more efficiently for one thing. And there are at least 600 commerical program (not including games) available. They can even be mounted with a program called WINE that will let you use PC applications. If you don't want Linux get a MAC

I have no idea but in my expierience Macs are faster. Macs also don't get viruses (because lets admit it who wants to F@c* up a Mac more than it already is). They also have more memory, mainly cause you can't find anything to install on it (except maybe photoshop). As for the i... who knows.

all i know is dont wast your money the only thing MAC made that wuz good is the IPOD
the I stands for idiot wich you r if you buy a MAC becuz the games r 2xx the price of windows games and thers more of them
