As an Asian I do not use footwear within the confines of my house but while at work I wear my shoes all the time. However I'm in between jobs now and am mostly indoors, barefoot! Does anyone know what causes this condition?

I experienced the same condition some years back when I took a long break from work and neglected to protect my feet. But now I make sure that I apply creams & lotion regularly and yet am showing signs of rough heels.

Well if you walk on your feet with nothing on them they will get very rough and cracked. But i found that if you put some vaseline on your feet and then put some cotton socks on when you go to sleep your feet will be soft.

As you get older your feet and hands tend to become dry. Because you walk on your feet everyday - it is more likely to become rough and dry. Buy those moisturizing socks (they're like 4 bucks) and put either Vaseline/Shea Butter/Cocoa Butter. What you are doing is fine - it takes time. All you can do is prevention to make sure that it doesn't get worse. Also getting frequent pedicures (whether you do it yourself or get one done by a salon) will slough off dead cells, which can make your feet look dry. Ever notice how good your feet (in addition to your painted toes) look after a pedicure? I'm putting a link for the Joan Rivers Absolutely Magic Foot Cream. Your feet will look SO good - and if you don't like it or see results in 30 days you can return it for a full refund. I bought it on QVC.... just give it a try. Good luck! I'm sure your feet will look fine.

Try moisturizing your feet right after you are done bathing, use a foot cream that had shea butter in it, and wear some little bootie socks to help keep the moisture in. Bath & Body works also has some moisturizing gel socks that work great. Good Luck.

To treat your cracked feet only scrubbing and applying moisture is not enough. you need to take care of them in a proper manner. use baby foot easy pack which acts as exfoliate and removes all dead skin form your feet and give you soft feet like a baby. You can buy this on babyfootindia.in, amazon.in, flipkart and Paytm.

If you can stand to sleep with socks on, a good way to combat this is to put a thick foot lotion (I love Peppermint scented lotions - Burt's Bee's makes a GREAT one!) on and then put think socks on and go to sleep. After a week of this, your feet will love you!

after your shower, use a pumice scrub stone
to get rid of excess dry skin then apply some
made for dry feet lotion.
after a week of doing this every day
your feet should be better, just dont neglect it
after they get better. Keep doing it.

or at least just apply made for feet lotion every night!
