Things have been on and off with my ex for a long time. I've always had feelings for him but not really acted on them. Last night I spent three hours 'dirty texting' with him.
I don't know what to do! Should I steer clear of him or try to make a proper go of the whole relationship thing?

Hmmm. Difficult. You need to have a sit down with yourself and decide what you want. If on balance you decide you don't want a relationship, then I would leave well alone.
We all need to feel good sometimes, and flirting will do that. So don't beat yourself up about it.

A lot of people ask questions about their ex. I know it's hard, but you should think about why it is that you broke up in the first place. I don't think every break up means the couple should never get back together, but if no changes occur then you are probably going to follow the same pattern and end up being hurt. With that said, you need to think long and hard about what happened in your relationship, if you feel things have changed or not and whether you want to go down that road again. I don't recommend being in limbo and not having a full relationship that can cause more pain in the end. But overall it is up to you to decide what he means to you and if you are ready for a relationship with him. Take care.

I agree with"dont waste your time" Steer clear,you no his personality,been there,done that,add some proper exitement to your life by discovering someone new,everyday getting to know them a little more.Always a bad move,expand your horizons

if your both single then go for it have fun but if either of you are in a relationship then stop right now people could get hurt. Ive been on the receiving end of that its bloody horrible,

It depends. Think about if you truly love him. Do you? If you do, then why I ask you did you two break up? Just think about all those other guys out there. They might be more compatable with your personality than your ex.
