Because men don't read as much as women, nor do they buy as many as women. The prices need to be higher to pay for the models on the covers also. That's the only way men will buy magizines.

Women are generally more clever than men. So they read faster.
Men's magazines compensate this but employing men only (they get the higher salaries) and they write the articles (typically) slowly. Efficiency decreases, the price increases! Simple economics - works for me.

simple!..there are far more mags out there for women,so there is far more competitors ,so prices for female mags are brought down real low to have a share in the market.

i think its because women buy hundreds of the damn things every week whereas men might buy a couple a month hence more expensive and lets face it id rather read male magazines they have alot of interesting things in them compared to thewomens how to lose 20stone in 10 days crap.....id much rather look at cars/motorcycles etc (although i draw the line at staring at the half clad women)
