I did a report on her in school. Yes she was from Greek decent but living in Egypt people believe she was African. which explains why they think she was black. There was also the sun that gave her a dark tan. People screw up history all the time. They don't know any better. A lot of people think Cleopatra to be a beautiful woman, but she had very masculine features in her face. She looked like a man but got a lot of booty in her life time. Cleopatra a historical P.I.M.P.

specific, Cleopatra replaced into (for all intents and purposes) Greek. despite the fact that, you may understand, each and each of the human beings residing around the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea are Mediterranean Caucasians. everybody, from Spain, to Greece, Lebanon to Egypt, to Morocco, look exceedingly plenty alike. they many times have an olive complexion, darkish (oftentimes curly) hair, and darkish eyes. you won't be able to tell maximum North Africans from Southern Europeans in the event that they are dressed alike. So, Cleopatra is going to look like an Egyptian whilst wearing Egyptian clothing.

Did you forget that being Greek doesn't mean white; Race and Nationality are not necessarily the same. Also race and skin color are not necessarily the same either. My race is black and I have the features and skin tone of the white race.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she a Ptolemy? Therefore, if she was, she was Greek. There's debate on whether there might have been some mixed blood in her ancestry, but I can definately tell you she wasn't 100 percent African.

No, she wasn´t from Greek descent.....
and they don´t mean black as in african black....they say she could have had dark skin as olive dark......
which isnpt unsual at all in that area.....
Since the Romans did everthing possible to destroy anything and everything related to her such as coins and paintings and anything with her resemblance, it is very difficult to know what she looked like....and her tomb is still not found !!!

The same reason why people thought she was white for so many years (and why she was portrayed that way by Elizabeth Taylor).
