I just started taking birth control pills and was on my 3rd week, however, I forgot to take 2 pills. I had sex within the 3 week period without any other protection. 2 days after I forgot to take the pills I took the 3 day but I received my period. I had sex that following week after my period was over and stopped taking my pills because I had to start a new pack, which wasn't ready yet. Is there anyway I could be pregnant?

If you skipped your pills, you have to take two pills the next day. You may get pregnant if you skip and have sex.

If you miss even one pill and then have sex within the next seven days you can get pregnant. It says so right in the packet that comes with the pills.
If you missed them in your 3rd week you're supposed to keep taking one a day until Sunday and then start your new pack, skipping week 4 (at least this is how it's been done with both I've been on). You really should read the instructions and make sure you follow them precisely so you're not at risk.
With many pills you also aren't fully protected until you've been on them for a whole month.

Yes. Birth control pills MUST be taken at the EXACT same time every day to maintain the 99% protection. For every pill you miss, or every hour behind you get, the chances of getting pregnant increase. If you cannot remember to take your pills on time, think about switching over to the patch.

first of all your supposed to take a full pack of pills before you have unprotected sex....and even if you did wait a month after starting to take the pill you could still be pregnant....the first time i got pregnant it was bc i was on birth control pills and forgot to take a pill...so you need to make sure you never forget a pill otherwise theres not much point in takin them

..probably not- as long as when you finish taking your hormone pills- you period comes w/in 2-3 days of you taking the sugar pills.
But in the future...if you miss some pills- go back and take them. For example, when you missed those 2 pills the next day you should have taken 3 pills total.

if you are having pill probs then why have sex? you don't get preg if you don't do it..... would you rather have the worry like you are now or know for sure. when you get back on your pills TAPE them to your toothpaste, deodorant, or mirror where you do your make-up. or something you always do everyday. next time if you forget one day then take two the next day. if you forget 2 days in a row (GOD FORBID!) then take 2 pills for 2 days to put you right back on schedule with your pill pack... but who knows you might be preggers now because you were irresponsible. i'm not trying to be mean but denying it doesn't mean it's not true. best of luck and I hope you are fine because if you can't take care of yourself and be responsible enough remember your pills then how are you going to take care of a baby. what are you gonna do forget to feed it for 2 days?

Their is a clear chance you could be pregnant. Take at least 3 tests to see if you are. wait 4 to 5 days and then see if you have a ny simptoms of being pregnant.
