I think it was on last week...but it has been getting very low ratings. It is going up against some other big summer show that is doing well. Either So You Think You Can Dance or Hell's Kitchen...can't remember which.
The ABC website (http://abc.go.com/primetime/theone/index.html) says "There are no plans for additional episodes. Thanks to all who participated in and supported The One!"
It also said that the show would start July 19 and run for 10 weeks. So, it sounds like it's over and everyone will be left hanging.

thats what the website says. I believe it was more of a promo show to see if it would work. I heard they got harasment that it was too much like you know what. And the fan base wasnt there.

They cancelled it after the first show.
It was very similar to American Idol, and was hosted by George Strombolopois.
