Why do people actually come on here ask if anyone knows (insert famous person's name) email address or cell phone number. Do they really think that anyone is going to give that to them even if they knew what it was?

Because they're desperate to meet the people they idolize. People can't just enjoy what they have and they feel the need to be close to those they see in magazines and movies. Sometimes they're delusional and sometimes they're just lonely.
