taxes will hopefully not go up unless the democrats have control. as much as i would actually see if they can come up with solutions instead of just being part of the problem, if they do get power, I'm almost sure taxes will go up.

We do not hurt the working people. Admittedly, it may become harder for the working class because the taxes are higher. But that is by all means, not a good reason why we should have low taxes. What hurts the working class the most is a breakdown of the economy, which...in a time of war...tax cuts does. As our military spending increases, so does the national cost. And if we cannot pay that cost, it becomes a national debt. Simple economics.

Just because the working class gets more money, does not mean that it is good for the working class. The working class needs a healthy economy in order to sustain its life. By cutting taxes and crippling the economy, the working class will then have problems with surviving.

Bush is bankrupting the nation with his tax cuts in a time of war. Those tax cuts are benefiting the top of the social class and killing the rest of us. Other then service sector jobs those cuts are not producing wage generating income for the "middle class." IT is up to all of us to care for these so called bums .MANY of them are in need of mental health care .OTHERS are in need of substance abuse help .STILL even more need medical care after working 40 plus years and retireing in the 70 's on fixed incomes and are no longer able to work .

Dont generalize.Trying to help people get back on their feet comes in many forms and many levels,not just handouts to the bums.

The phrase "tax and spend liberals" is wing-nut propaganda. It's the liberals who think government should serve the people. The people currently in power do everything they can to destroy the middle class, turning them into the poor, whom they find easier to oppress.

Because there agenda is not to better the nation it is to bring us in line with a socialist/ communist nation. That way it will only be members of there party that will have the choisest meats, the freshest vegetables, and the sweetest honey.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure this one out. They want your vote. As for taxing the hardworking people, if you don't have a job, you don't pay taxes. If you are working, you pay accordingly. If you don't like the rate, or disagree with your reps in congress, v-o-t-e. We, the people, have no one else to blame for everything we get - either by voting them in, or by not voting and letting those who do dictate for all of us.
