I am 100% effaced, 1 cm dialated and at this point desperate for anything that is in my favor of having this kid!!

The moon thing is true - it has to do with the gravitational effect on water. But if the kid's not ready to come out, the moon won't have much of an influence. Stay busy, do other things, try to take your mind off it and the time will fly.

My mom works at a hospital and has always said that is is crazy in there on full moons.. yes births also... but from the sounds of it you'll be going in no time full moon or not .. good luck

My mother has always said that its the changing of the moons that indicate a birth so check the calendar to see when the next change is. I have three children and have always relied on this advise

My older son was born during a full moon. I was scheduled to be induced, and when I got to the hospital, they were so full they didn't have a room for me. They told me to come back later that day. When I got there, my labor had already started so they skipped the drugs and just broke my water.

full moons have nothing to do with any type of indicator of births. Its all medical and nothing about the stars or moons.

I do know that when there is a full moon, many more women go into labor than if it wasn't a full moon.
