Have you noticed that it's sponsored by 'work-direct' or something of the like. It's the governments way of making the unemployed/sick brigade feel guilty!

Trisha is a British chat show previously aired on ITV in the mornings.
It started in 1998, taking over from the Vanessa Show and traditionally features people and their numerous affairs or problems.
The show is presented by Trisha Goddard, with cornflakes from a studio audience. The show is well known for its conducting of Lie detector tests and DNA tests and revealing the results on air. Robert Phipps, a body language expert, frequently guests on the show. It has frequently been accused of copying American formats (such as the The Maury Povich Show), and of exploiting its subjects.
Trisha is impersonated on the Channel 4 programme Bo' Selecta with phrases such as "You want a lit detecta test?!" and "Rice and peas!" in a strong Caribbean accent.
In 2005 Trisha began another show of a similar format on Channel 5 called 'Trisha Goddard'. This is generally shown in the morning and repeats of her ITV show have continued to be broadcast on ITV2.

There's no point at all to the shows. The presenters are in no way qualifed to offer advice, and the guests loook like a phrenologists nightmare. As to how they get on the show, perhaps it's a new form of community service.

Like every other program on the box.. their point is to sell advertising..the better the show, the more expensive the advertising.. really if you look at it, tv shows are just fillers for the advertisers. no advertising, no shows. In Spain our commericals can go on for 25 minutes.. you can forget what your watching..or that you are even watching anything..it's horrid. Talk shows can be 3 and 4 hours long here.. just to accomodate the commerical breaks.

they get all the guests from the american jerry springer show cause the people in the nut houses in this country are too intelligent and far more civilised in this part of the world (not even the animals in chessington zoo would even dream of going on the american jerry springer show let alone dreaming of going on the jeremy kyle show).

They just pass the time, they are not really worth watching but people would rather stare at the TV than do something worthwhile. They are cheap to make and are basically just filler.

I have yet to figure out the point of these shows. You must be desparate to put your family through something like that!
