Without hearing it I can only make a couple guesses.
Your starter isn't disengaging after the engine starts.
Your oil is getting thin from not being changed on time.
Your brakes are sticking, rubbing.
Can you be more specific about where (front/rear/engine) the noise comes from?

Could be the oil is low. After you drive it the oil in the pan pumps up into the engine so the noise goes away. Check the oil when the engine is cool and on level ground. Some cars have "hot" and "cold" marks so those you can check when the engine is hot. Make sure the oil is at the proper level. Also when you get your oil changed they can tell you if it was low or not.
Usually low oil is more of a clicking sound but check anyway.

It might be the gas. When pushing the gas you hear the sound, probably when you drive up a hill it is worse? It is the cylinders knocking together because the gas may be bad, try to add some gas dryer, they have it in wal-mart. It is to get the water out of the gas tank, water normally builds up in there because of condensation and sometimes the gas stations have water in their tanks. Also make sure you are changing your oil regularly. Hope this helps.

well, if this only happens in the summer or when its hot, i had the same problem and that is because if you start your car suddenly after it has been sitting in the sun for a while, the engine starts steaming (im not to good with cars so i dont know what part) but what i do is pour water on the part where you put oil and the sound stops for a while

Your brake rotors are getting rusty when it sits and then when you roll the rusty rotors scrape and make noise until you stop a couple of times and "burn" all the rust off of them. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about.

if you are unable to repair the problem you will require a professional to tend to it the fact you have left it two months is not going to help your repair bill
