Does conception take place the same night or does it take a few days? Explain please

Conception takes place as soon as a sperm penetrates the shell of the egg, sperm does survive in a woman's body for several days so it could be days after having sex.

No, it takes a little while. It may take the sperm up to 12 hours to travel up your fallopian tubes. And you'll only get pregnant if the sperms meet up with your egg. The sperm live about 3-5 days inside of you, but the egg only lives about 24 hours, so the timing has to be right on.

Just depends on when the sperm reaches the egg. I think sperm can live 2-3 days inside the female body.

it's not instantaneous, the sperm has to swim up and usually fertilizes the egg...however the sperm doesn't last forever so if it's going to happen its probably during the same night.
