They can't keep you from taking your two 15 minute breaks (depending on how many hours you work). That's not legal - it's part of their work policy as everyone gets those breaks. It is their responsibility to make it possible for you to take a break. Don't let them pull that crap. Talk to them about how you can work out your breaks. They have an obligation to do so.
A break is not taken at your desk. Just talk to them about their company policy, let them know you understand their concern, but that you are still entitled to 2 breaks, wherever the hell you want to take them, just like everyone else. Just set up the specific times and have a specific person always take over your position for those 30 min. The best thing you can do, though, is to know their policy backwards and forwards. Take that with you and they will fold.

you should be entitled to more that a 30 min break during the whole day
i was in a job where i hd 30 mins and then a 15 min break, i split the 15 in half to have a couple of ciggie breaks
this is also a good time to think about stopping,

Just think of the benefits of quitting-you'll smell better, have more money, date nice smelling men, have a cleaner home, and get rid of the inconvenience of not being able to smoke anywhere. Try the patch to help with the withdrawal symptoms. Good Luck

You have to stick by work rules - they are there for a reason (usually to suppress the workers :o/)
Take a sneaky break, give up smoking (best option!) or find a replacement to get you through the day

You are not entitled to smoke breaks, and can only go and smoke at normal tea and lunch break times. Non smokers don't get a break, so why should you?

Actually, most people don't know this because boses don't want you to know, but Federal law says that everyone has to be allowed a 5 minute break every hour. You should kindly remind your boss of that.

Just explain that you thought about quitting until you read a medical journal that says that smoking a cigarette takes five minutes off your working day so you gave up thinking about quitting.. just say that

Quit. Why should you be allowed to take smoking breaks while all the non-smokers can't?
