Just a guess after not being able to find it on a name meanings website..... the chant or song. probably French or Cajun in origin.
There are tons of name meaning websites. Do a search and see what you come up with. Unfortunately I am at work right now and can't do a thorough search.

It looks like a made-up name. Some sub-cultures have a tradition of making up names that sound sort of French.

If it's pronounced "LaChantee", it could be "The Chant", which would really be LaChantez.
