I make greetings cards and these are the most popular verses and quotes, i think the last ones are probabley most suitable-
VERSES FOR MEMORIAL/REMEMBRANCE CARDS
SAFELY HOME
I am at home in heaven dear ones
Oh so happy and so bright
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light
All the pain and grief is over
Every restless yearning passed
I am now at peace forever
Safely home in heaven at last
Did you wonder how I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus’ Love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade
And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
And with Jesus’ Arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely
For I love you dearly still
Try to look beyond earths shadows
Pray to trust our fathers will
There is work still waiting for you
So you must not idly stand
Do it now while life remaineth
You shall rest in Jesus’ Land
When that work is all completed
He will gently call you home
Oh the rapture of that meeting
Oh the joy to see you come.
WHAT IS DEATH?
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other,
That we still are
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way
Which you always used
Put no difference in your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be the household word
That it always was
Let it be spoken without effect
Without the trace of a shadow on it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolutely unbroken continuity
Why should I be out of mind,
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you
For an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well
TO SUCEED
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
Ad endure the betrayal of fake friends
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others
To leave the world a bit better
Whether by a healthy child or a garden patch
To know even one life has breathed easier
Because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
QUOTE 1
Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children. For they are us, our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life
-Albert Einstein
QUOTE 2
And when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine, that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish sun
- William Shakespeare
QUOTE 3
Death leaves a heartache no-one can heal
Love leaves a memory no-one can steal
QUOTE 4
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life
-St Francis of Assissi
QUOTE 5
Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean
QUOTE 6
Gods finger touched him and he slept
-Alfred, lord Tennyson
QUOTE 7
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank god that such men lived
QUOTE 8
The gods conceal from men the happiness of death, that they may endure life
QUOTE 9
God shall wipe away all tars from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away

QUOTE 13
You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
QUOTE 14
You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

This is one i wrote myself and i feel fits most situations perfectly, you can change some of the words if you wish, i dont really mind, its fairly generalized because i work with the elderly and many of their situations are changable, im sorry to hear of your loss, i hope things get better for you.
INDESCRIBABLE SORROW
Though right now, you feel a pain that is indescribable
know that your loved one is looking down on you with admiration and love,
the time you spent together, although fleeting,in your own mind
will in no way compare to the time you will have to spend apart,
( insert name here ) will always be with you, everywhere you go and in everything you do, he will be the smiles on childrens faces, the wind in your hair, when you look up at the stars at night, whisper his name as he will hear it, and hold you as you sleep.
He is not gone
please do not weep.....
