You may need to talk to her Doctor. She may have Eczema. They have creams for that in the baby section at most grocery stores and Walmart.

How often are you bathing her? Barring any medical conditions (eczema, for example), over-bathing is the main cause for dry skin. Babies as young as yours don't generally get very dirty, and one or two baths a week (with "sponge baths" in between) are really all you need to do to keep her clean). That being said, the best lotion I've found is Eucarin. You can find it at any drugstore or grocery store.

I hate to sound like everyone else, but my daughter had extremely dry skin and she had some mild eczema. We got some prescription cream for her and it resolved itself quickly! I had tried every lotion on the market and really all she needed was a little prescription medication. :) Good luck!

My midwife recommended Coconut Oil. You can get it in most health stores and it's great stuff. It smells good and doesn't leave greasy residue. Also though, make sure your daughter is well hydrated. She should be fine if she's breastfed, but if she's on a bottle you may want to also give her water.

you are going to think that i am crazy but i am a mother of 3 with 10 neices and nephews. what we used on all of them was olive oil. please dont use babyoil because it is a bi-product of the oil that we use in our vehicles and it clogs their pores so their skin cant breath. the olive oil is natural and will leave no oily mess or smell. it is great for all over.

I used baby lotion on my son every day after his bath. I put it all over him, even in his hair, and he is over a year now and his hair is really shiny and has that healthy look about it. So is his skin

Shea Butter is good
Also, use a mild, non-drying soap when you wash her and rinse with barely warm water.
