Why are actors and singers so wealthy and famous?

I mean, all they do is act or sing. No special skill is required to do that. How many singers turn actor or vice versa? Yet some of them are extremely wealthy and so famous. And that baby of Brad and Angelina, someone said she is the most famous baby in the world??? How is that possible. Actors and singers are just like you and I, in fact, there jobs should be at the level of a teacher or something. And whats the all the photographers that surround them???

Why do people make such a big fuss of them. I really dont understand!!!

Well, some of them actually have the training and talent to do what they are paid to do. It looks easy, but it isn't. Which means they deserve to be paid.
The problem is, they are usually overpaid for what they do.
That is not their fault.
If a movie makes sky-busting money it is because millions of people went to see it. It is like Yahoo Answers.
Most of us are normal average people too, but we get points if someone chooses us as "Best Answer" and dividends if people give our best answer a thumbs-up.
Look at it that way, if the majority of the public like what you do, then you get wealthy and famous, whether it is points or money or limelight or reputation or whatever.

Well for one, WE support their careerz!! So in essence WE make 'em rich!
For two, not ALL but a lot of theze people ARE actually talented! and it takes a lot to hone your craft and learn the business and go to a different city OR country everyday. Performerz go thru a lot, too.

To lump them in the same class as a teacher is a little absurd because teachers watch theze actorz on TV AND buy music from their favorite singer, too!!
Besidez, it'z not the performerz fault that they are more paid than teacherz! It'z our society and how WE value education...
but the two DON'T really compare, AT ALL....

And don't be jealous that photographerz find THEM to be more interesting than YOU!!! (LOL)

Because we are fascinated by their lives and looks.. we either want to be them or be with them... so we pay money to see thier films, watch thor tv programmes and read about them in magazines.
Celebrity is the new religion. Its a sad fact of our society that we all now worship film stars and celebrities rather than the people who do good in the world like scientists, inventors and spiritual people like Mother Teresa.

maybe because life is so boring that's why people are entertained by them. and the more people fuss over these entertainers the higher they got paid. they make the world happier so i guess they are not really that bad. its just that as you said they are really paid more than they should be. but that's how it is for ages so i think we cannot changed it.

famous cuz their on TV, in magazines, in the news, and what we gossip about. it's media, and america could never survive without it. they're wealthy cuz they get paid a lot, over enough actually. then they spend it all on themselves instead of thinking of others, like a hobo on the side of the street. the paparazzi are just lifeless people who have nothin better to do.

Rich - because we pay them lots of money by buying their music/films - how else?

actually it does take talent to act and/or sing and theyre so rich and famous because theyre so talented and people like 2 be entertained by them and their talent

Because we give them loads of money. We're prepared to pay more to be entertained for a few minutes than we are to be educated for life.
