Check out Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Their courses are excellent. You may also want to check out your states DMV web page to see when/if you are allowed to get a motorcycle endorsement.

I'm not 100% sure about Missouri, but for most states the procedure is to get the permit first. Then you take the course where you actually learn about controlling the bike. At the end of the course an examiner from the state DOT comes in and observes the students perform the required manouvers and issues certificates to those who pass, which you'd use to get your endorsement added to your license.

I'm sooo glad that you want to take that course, pay close attention, things I've learned in that class have saved my skin so many times. I agree with MeriGold, check out the motorcycle safety foundation.

In my state, you can go through the DMV. Look the number up in the phone book and give you DMV a call. If not, maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Look on your state's BMV or DMV website. There is usually a list. Or ... if all else fails, get out the good old fashioned yellow pages.
