Oliver Stone is so way over the top anyway - I can't imagine what kind of treatment he's going to give it. I'm in Richmond VA & live right by the airport - the whole time following 9/11 when all air travel was suspended was so strange - we're so accustomed to hearing planes all day & the skies were empty. I had to ride past the Pentagon 2 months after the attack & I was absolutely horrified at what I saw.
I think it's too soon for a big-screen movie event & I really am not sure Oliver Stone was the person to do it - he might be gonna throw out some bizarre conspiracy theory type stuff & upset a lot of people. That's not cinema, that's sensationalism to sell tix.

It makes perfect sense that Oliver Stone would be making this movie. Personally, I don't like the idea of Hollywood cashing in on such a horrific tragedy. I know movies have been made about real life events before, but nothing has ever hit this close to home before for American, emotionally speaking. If Mr. stone has any heart at all, he would have made this picture for the Families survivors, with a large portion of the box office sales going to the families. Morally, I think it's the only way a picture of the nature should ever be made...There, I've said it...Actually, I'm pretty pissed about it.

I feel like its shameful. That horrible event has been used by so many people to cash in. Plus, it just happened, I don't really need to relive that. I just wonder WHY they think we want to see a movie about that when we a) just lived through it a minute ago and, b)see it on tv like once a week.

It looks good. I think they should make movies about it because other people should know about it. A lot of people just don't care.
