To recharge, treat yourself to something special - a good meal, buy yourself something you've been wanting (that won't break the budget, of course!), go out with some friends, or do something nice for someone else.
To purge negativity, the most important thing is that you have to want to let it go. Think about what is bothering you and decide whether or not you can actually do something about it. If you can, do it. Even if your course of action doesn't help a lot, you'll feel better that you're making the situation less of a pain in your side. If it can't be changed, then you must learn to accept it.
If the problem starts bothering you again, remind yourself that there are things in life that simply must be, and the only thing that you can do is not let them win by bringing you down.
Picture this problem as an animal that is trying to hurt you, and every time that you lose sleep over it or become irritable because you're thinking about it, the animal gains strength. However, every minute of every day that you don't let this problem make you unhappy, the animal loses strength until it finally dies and goes away.
I know it's weird, buy visualizations really do help. If you picture that animal lying in a corner a few breaths from death, you won't renew its life so easily by letting the negative stuff bother you.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is find a beach, a river, a lake - any type of water you can get to. Get there, walk around until you are pleasantly physically tired - then sit back & relax. Listen to the sounds the water makes, breathe in deeply & clear your mind of junk. Concentrate on positive images in your life; loved ones faces, great music, one thing that you know is guaranteed to make you happy. Take an hour, or two - do NOT worry about the time, don't set a deadline for yourself - make this be YOUR time alone, what you are doing just for you. Don't leave until you have achieved some peace within yourself. The running or moving water will cleanse you in ways you can't imagine. Pouring your spirit into positive images will help clear out the negative junk. If you can't get away to water - buy a fountain & put it in a really comfortable place in your home. Lower the lights, burn a candle that smells really really good to you & listen to the water as it cascades down the fountain. I always felt so much more human after a trip to Grandview Beach - I would walk the shore, pick up shells, just sit & smell the salt water as the waves would crash in. A lot of folks turn to God, church, prayer. Those might be an answer for you to consider as well. I just choose Nature to heal me. Good luck & take care . . .

Im tha master at this. (kinda full of myself too)
Find something new thats holds a perfect balance of emence happiness and powerful aggresion, anger works wonders, especially if you like your anger.
Just think about it long and hard and when u are sure you have found it, it will work really fast. I get it from music, e.g. Linkin Park, 2Pac, Tool, so on..
