why does the united states always get blamed for wars in the middle east?

Because of the western worlds thirst for oil and the history of meddling in the affairs of almost every government in that area. History is ironic, because even before we knew there was oil was there, we (the west) were trying to colonize the middle east. We have fought wars with these people since history began being recorded.
However, current policy is that these countries are potential threats to our system and way of life. Well, that is only true as long as we keep poking sticks at the snakes. If we were to leave the middle east and concentrate on matters in our hemisphere, Israel would have a big problem, but life would go on here. The price of oil would be a world commodity and we would have to compete with it globally, or develop alternate forms of energy, and perhaps stop relying on it so much. So we have created our own monster, and we use it on a daily basis to justify our actions in the world. There is plenty of oil in the western world. However, we want the oil on the other side of the world first and we will suck it all up on the way home.

Honestly it comes with the territory of being a super power. But let's be honest, most of the people who complain about the US fighting other peoples wars are a lot of the same people who think the US doesn't do enough to help people.

Yeah, our governments not perfect. Try living in Iraq under the rule of Saddam Husein or try being a teen living in poverty in the Sudan or Uganda. You won't complain anymore.

Could things be different? Yes. But I doubt the majority of people on here could do any better than our APPOINTED politicians. I highlite appointed because people seem to forget that we put them there. We voted them into power and if you don't like it, become a politician and change the way the world sees us. If you don't want to make the effort, don't complain. Just know that you have the right to say what you say because the US government fights to keep it that way.

If you were in Iraq and you spoke negatively about the government, you would be killed. Does that sound like a fun place to be? Does that sound like something that needs changed? Don't blame the US for wanting to help. And if they're trying to get a little something out of it for themselves then so be it. We all like to get payed for our work don't we?

It is, however, expected to help resolve the tension and is being criticized for taking the side of Israel which looks anti-Islamic. it's about alliances.
