Learn some html code, javascript, and Flash and someone will pay you to build a site, which is better than free.
Right click any page, choose "View source" and you can read how it was built. Select anything on the page, like a word or an image, choose "View Selection Source" and you can read how that particular part of the page was put there.

There are a lot of programs that offer you a chance to make a website. The easiest thing to do is go to a blog site or log site and sign in. They often have ready made pages available that you can fill in as you would like.

believe me....i ve been there done that...dont use bravnet at all..its slow...not even geocities...its better though...
Use something which is not much famous...like www.1asphost.com
I'll tell u why is it so good!!
I guess u need only to put some "html" stuff right now..but then as u progress u'll need something better than html to express urself..maybe something like "ASP"..then u cant move ur entire site to another place...So y not start from a site tht provides u gr8 options and tht too with gr8 facilities like "zipped upload"(its really gr8..u'll notice it when u use it!!), and a very simple interface..and its free too!!
