There are a few different answers to this question. The dates are estimates so as long as they are close to the same it doesn't really matter the exact date.
You could go 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period. That would put you at December 29th.
You could also add 7 days to your last menstrual period and add nine months from there. That would put you at December 31st. (A New Year's Eve baby, how exciting!!!).
I am now in my fourth pregnancy. Every time I have used the second method to calculate my due date and it has always matched the doc's.

Traditionally, you count 40 weeks from your last menstration in order to figure out your estimated delivery date. Your doctor may adjust the EDD after having an ultrasound. A "normal" due date can be off by as much as two weeks either direction (provided there are no complications), so it is considered healthy if you deliver any time between 38 and 42 weeks gestation. Your EDD, based on the date you gave, would put you around DEC. 29th, 2006. Talk with your ob/gyn.... they will be able to give you a more accurate date- just remember that due dates are not definite... a baby has it's own timing.

A friend of mine was at a house party and as there were so many people there the owners of the house had hired a portaloo in the garden. Anyway, she needed to go to the loo and was queuing for ages. So rather than wait any longer she went behind a bush in the garden. Well she decided that as it was the end of her period she didn't need a tampon in any longer so, without thinking, she pulled it out... and then realised she had nowhere to put it. After a moment's thought (and fueled by alcohol), she whipped it around above her head and let it fly over the fence into next door's garden. The next day she was talking to the owner of the house who said that it had been a good party but there had been an incident that morning. The lady who lived next door had dropped a note round to her house, expressing her disgust that there were several empty beer cans in her pond and that someone had tried to kill the fish by feeding them a tampon...

The little wheel that came with my packett says Dec. 30. Thats if the March 24 is the first day of your last period. And its based on a 28 day cycle.

Around December 28 or 29th. Maybe it will be the first of the year at the hospital. Congratulations. I am due December 27, and my first day of my last period was March 22. Contact me if you have any questions.

count 7 days after the first day of your last period and then count nine months. It should be around the end of December or first of January.
