as a must watch ....but should not be too old. I recently started watching english movies so just curious to know that which one should I watch first....you can tell more than one.....I just got the netflix membership for a month :) Thanks much!

I love Shawshank Redemption, The Notebook, Everafter, Alive, Old School, Elf, Goodfellows, Braveheart, What About Bob, any thing with Julia Roberts, watch all of the John Grisham stuff, The Natural, 61, The Star Wars Movies. I guess it all depends on what type of movies you like.

Since you recently started watching english movies, then its better for you to start enjoying any pack from Disney land...real or animation....they will surely give you the right direction of enjoying Hollywood.

The Shawshank Redemption
hands down best movie I've ever seen - it's hard to watch in some places because it's a prison movie, but it is absolutely worth it.

Blow with Johnny Depp. A very sad movie based on the life of George Jung and his quick raise to power through cociane distrubution to the States. Showing that money power and drugs can give you the world and take it all away quicker.

the hours would be something to recommend. the last movie ive watched was lady in the water which is also a good movie to watch. brokeback mountain is a good movie to be watched in order for straight people to understand the world of the homosexuals.

as for recent movies: V for Vendetta if you like a bit action or Scary Movie 4 if you like comedies. On Scary Movie 4 I laughed whole movie (but you have to watch all movies which Scary Movie 4 is parodie for :-( )
