There is no winning when it comes to opinions of the US.
We havent jumped into the latest mid east crisis, and we're criticized for that. So it's a case of damned if we do, damned if we dont. I do believe we have more than enough problems of our own. Let the rest of the world resolve their own problems.

Like most fathers, America is not perfect. Sometimes fathers can be overly meddlesome and in some cases exploitive of their children, just like America. However, even with all their faults, fathers contribute a lot to their children’s lives, and there would something lacking in a child’s upbringing if they had no father. Similarly, even when you take into account all of America’s past sins and current global blunders, the world would indeed be a much dimmer place without the United States. It’s a beacon of hope for the world, despite what some of its detractors might proclaim. For all the wars that the US is complicit in, its mere presence instills fear in would be dictators that would otherwise have free reign to wreak havoc on the world. I believe without the United States, there would be even more bloodshed in the world than there is now.
I frequently use Yahoo Answers as a forum to lambaste the current administrations policies, immorality, and its down right stupidity. However, even with all that I can’t stand currently about this country and its current leadership, I still feel fortunate to be a part of a country that I still consider to be the greatest in the world.

I didn't know that is what the United States wants to be. Are you sure about that? Where do you get your facts? And, what is a "father" of the world?

I live here in the United States and it is appalling to listen to others speak so derogatory of my country and our people. First of all, if you wish to make comment, speak deliberately and with intelligence to the matter at hand. Not with prejudice or misinformation that leads you to believe everyone who is an American is evil. There is evil, and power dominant people all over the world, and within your countries as well.
That said, I also agree it is ridiculous that our elected officials seem to want to poke their noses in everyones business. I cannot speak for all of us collectively, but can tell you that the friends in my circle also agree with this statement.
So, just because our elected officials continue down this path, it certainly does not mean all Americans agree with their agendas, or appreciate being slanderously lumped into a group that you decide to hate.
So ease up...we are people too. Your generalities show your mental weakness of hatred and contempt for something you obviously know little about....the American people.

Is it the other way around, Islam wanting to run the world? Everything is turning into a holy war, and being done by a bunch of people that are brainwashed into thinking the US i out to get them, and take over the world. I don't agree with what the US does sometimes, but I damn sure don't agree with anyone trying to make something religious out of something that ain't nothing more than the US trying to bring peace to a hostile world.

Cause they get blame for all the ills in the world.
Everybody keep on the sideline and watch when problems occur, nobody wants to step it, they blame the problem on the US because the US is not resolving it, when the US steps in, then get blame for sticking their nose in other's business.
Sometime our government make mistake due to misinformation or just plain stupid, but no matter what..it always damn if I do, damn if I don't.
So, we do what we think is right and damn everybody else.
Sometimes we damn ourself.
