wel... techincaly.. if you love your enemy.. they arent your enemy. and if you hate your best friend... they arent your best friend... so.. ugh.. neither i guess

Love and Hate are both action words.
Loving your enemy is better. You can keep them at a distance.
But to hate someone that is so close to you may be a little dangerous.

it is better to love your enemy than to hate you close friend. Why? Because we as humans feel better going from Hate to Love, and not so good when it is otherwise (Love-Hate).
