No, they're not done. I've watched all 110 games these guys have played this season, and I can describe them in one word: Underachievers. They are underachieving, yet they are still tied with Boston for the wild-card lead.
There are 52 games left. Still plenty of time for it to come together. They aren't going to catch Detroit, but they can certainly win the wild card. It will come down to the starting rotation. Neither Buerhle nor Garcia has won a game since July 1. Those two are supposed to be good pitchers. If they get it together, there will be October baseball in Chicago. If not, it's football season much too early.

DF is right. If the Sox don't win the series against the Bombers it will be very difficult to regroup. Tigers are playing unbelievable. I'm not convinced that the Tigers are that good but unless someone runs them down they will win the division. The Yankees are very close to getting everyone back so the Red Sox are in big trouble. Twins are the White Sox biggest problem right now so this week will answer a lot of questions.

Not by a long shot.
There is simply too much talent on that team.
The wildcard race this year looks as if it will be a good one.
They clearly need to put a good old fashioned whooping on the yankees in order for them to stay competive.
Plus, lets not forget after The Yankees series The Tigers go to U.S. Celluar Field. That weekend series is a MUST win (at least 2 of 3) for the southsiders.

Not yet. There's too much talent there for them not to put together a run and make the playoffs. Consider that as badly as they've played in the past month, they're still tied for the wildcard lead.
And all of those who think the Twins are that great must not have noticed that except for beating KC last week, the Twins have faltered significantly. And there's rumors that Liriano may be hurt.

I believe the White Sox will win the Wild Card, beat the Yankees and then the Tigers in the playoffs, then lose to the Mets in the World Series.
No they aren't done.

They are still a good team, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the playoffs. I'm not rooting for them though. I'm getting really tired of Ozzie Guillen and his tough guy act. I hate to say it, but I would rather see the Yankees in the playoffs over the White Sox.

They start a series with the Yankees tonight. If they get swept or lose 2 of the 3, then yes they are done. I don't think they will hold off the Twins.

Yes, they're done. They've let the Tigers get away, and they let the Twins hang around for too long and now they have Torii Hunter back. Plus they didn't make any moves at the deadline.

No they aren't done but winning minimum 2 out of 3 from Yankees sure would help.
