360s got a few nice games but no killer apps, and yet people still think it's the bees motha ****** knees. I am not a fanboy, I will be buying all the systems, but for pete's sake stop dissing the PS3 before it even comes out. I know for a fact that in the end Sony will have the BEST software lineup just like last time. People say that everyone will buy a 360 because of Halo 3, did anyone ever think that not everyone likes FPS games? an extremely large group of people dislike FPS games with a passion. So lets all just stop bashing something we hardly know anything about except that it costs 600 bucks, which really is not that much money for most of middle america.

I think it's because it's going to cost so much and they can't afford it. If they can't get the system they just complain about it without actually knowing what they're talking about. That way they feel better about the fact that they can't have one.

You answered your own question. There's no arguing that Nintendo has really good first party games, but the problem is that they're far and between. If we're lucky, we might get 1 good game every 2 or 3 months. That's not going to cut it. The PS3 and 360 are averaging at least 1 good game every month. Doesn't it remind you of the Gamecube? The GC has superb 1st party games, but very few good 3rd party games. Why is the Wii getting so much crappy 3rd party games? Because Nintendo doesn't have any people to monitor what games are being made for the Wii. If you got the money and the skills, then you can make a game for the Wii without Nintendo's approval. And there lies the crux. Because the Wii is so popular to the casual gamers, lots of companies are making crappy games just to cash in on the Wii's popularity. They're hoping that casual gamers will buy their games because casual gamers are not as knowledgeable as the fanboys or hardcore gamers. Then there's the graphics and weak hardware. Why are PS3 and 360 getting all the good games, like RE5, SF4, FFXIII? Because they have far superior hardware than the Wii. The only reason the Wii is so popular is because of the casual gamers. They're the ones picking up the Wii left and right. Nintendo did a hell of a job convincing the casual gamers that the Wii is the hottest thing to get. PSN is free to play, so that's no excuse for the Wii to have little to no online play. At the time that the Wii was made, Nintendo still wasn't sold on online play, even though the XBX have shown that online play is the next big thing, and as lame as PSN was for the PS2, people were still playing online.

Because the smart people know that blue-ray isn't that good. it holds more memory and has HD So what it will be good in a year but new products arn't always good, until they find away to get better and that's in a year or 2. And for better apps, xbox had better apps than PS2, So does that mean xbox should be better(i thought xbox was better)? but PS2 was more favored so don't use PS3 apps as a way to compare consoles, the game play and games make a console. A Console with the best looking graphics can't win if it has crappy games and that's the truth. And the Proof is the Wii doesn't have good graphics but is the most anticipated game console and one reason is because it is concentrating on games instead of Blue-ray and how its a computer like Sony.

I agree with you. First off, I am an Xbox fanboy, but I know the Ps3 will be a force to be reckoned with. People can spout off about the price all the want...fact: people will be paying double that for it on Ebay when it comes out with the "shortage" that will be there.

I think it is perfect to have 3 consoles that all do well, because it pushes them to come out with great games rather than just putting out junk because they know you don't have another choice. Look at EA and football games, they have stopped pushing the envelope because if you want NFL football, you HAVE to buy Madden.

Also, yes many people don't like FPS, which I know Xbox has most of, but I don't like little Final Fantasy rehash/lame plot games either, but I know other people do. Also, the difference in Sony's showing from 2 E3's ago to this latest one is DRASTICALLY different...

When you look at the Killzone footage/movie vs Ridge Racer and "flip the crab on it's back to inflict maximum damage"...you can see why the skeptics are having a field day with this.

I say just make games and I will buy accordingly!

because it's just too expensive. that of course translates into expensive games. i don't think anyone is hating on the graphical capabilities, rather, they just can't shell out that kind of money. i myself was a little annoyed with sony but it had nothing to do with the price or the fact that i'm a nintendo fanboy. i was upset to see that at the sony press conference this year sony unveiled a motion sensitive controller. what a load of crap! they clearly took the idea from the wii controller. anyway, it's not enough to make me not want to buy the system. i just think it's a little shady. all in all though, it looks like the ps3 is gonna whoop some ***. oh and by the way, most of america isn't middle america, it's lower america. so yes it is too expensive for the average american family to buy.

Are you slow? Halo is by far one of the lousiest FPS's of all time. Everyone is dissing PS3 becuase due to fact. People are upset. They just spent 400 bucks on an xbox 360. These people are the ones that don't look into what they are buying, they didn't think for a second it might suck. So now they have an overheating, shitty game playing machine to collect dust. They are just wishing they saved their money for a machine that doesn't totally suck.

Sometime in the future they will figure things out. Till then, hold your head up high and say. "I didnt waste my money on a system that blows".

yo man...im with u..i gotta ignore all these bitches about how dumb i am for waiting and spending 600 bux on a PS3..

the 600 dollar price is prolly the only reason ppl are hatin.
there saying that the PS3 and 360 graphix are exactly the same but the 360 cheaper..

but i think the PS3 is at a good price blu-ray players are 800 bux individually, and the PS3 Comes with that. ..and besides if u get a 360 and get Xbox Live on it..ur gunna pay more eventually because the PS3 online is free.

Thats because some people cant afford the PS3, people with jobs that dont pay well, and people with no jobs at all. If I was a millionaire I would be happy to get all 3 system x2, but sadly I cant.
