I have one...it is a wolf on my lower right backside. I am asking the question because it was a big discussion at my breakfast break this morning.

Yes, I have a little one - looks like a ring on my toe. People try different things on, if it makes you happy go for it.

I sometimes think they look good, and sometimes don't. I suspect some of the people getting them now will regret it in 30 years. I don't have any tattoos. I had some body parts pierced, and now that I'm older, I just removed the piercings. Its not quite that easy with tattoos. Unfortunately, cultural factors are kinder to men here. There are relatively few occasions - and certainly no formal ones - where men are required to show any skin beyond their face and their hands. Women will likely have many formal occasions in their lives when legs, shoulders etc will be visible. There are going to be some interesting weddings in 70 years when people will be commenting on the sagging blob of colour that used to be grandma's ankle tattoo. That said, if I was going to get one, personally, I'd get a black & white, detailed tattoo of the Rev'd Son House on my shoulder.

I have three tattoos - 2 on my upper left chest, and one on my left calf. I am planning several others too. My first tattoo was of a rose, which I picked off of the wall at a Las Vegas tattoo shop. Don't do this. For my 2nd tattoo, I had some original artwork drawn and incorporated my first tattoo into it, to make it more original. My 3rd tattoo, the one on my left calf, was completely thought up and designed by the tattoo artist and me, and is reminiscent of an Indian Henna design. Don't just get a tattoo off of the wall to get a tattoo. I thought about mine for years in advance, so I know I will not regret getting them (at least I haven't so far, and I'm 35). Be as original as you can. You can get ideas from other people's tattoo, but don't copy one - especially if you know it's an original design. I love my tattoos, but they're not for everyone.

I don't have a tatoo and I don't like tatoos. I could have never dated or married a guy with tatoos! I think they are not classy. Just my personal opinion and taste. I know many people like tatoos and I don't mean to offend anybody.

I don't have any -- but I'm not terribly opposed to them. I just couldn't see living the rest of my life with a tatoo that in 5 years I might not like anymore -- piercings are better -- when you're finished you can take out the ring.

I also really liked what Carrie on "King of Queens" responded when asked, "So, Carrie do you have any tats?" "Huh, me, no, I have a job."

I have one tatoo on my back left shoulder. Its my zodiak sign - I'm a taurus. Its just a simple outline of a bull and I like it. Now it kind of looks like a Texas Longhorn, so now I'm thinking of getting it redone. Something to commemorate my baby girl.

I think people who have tattoos do so for the art and the memories. I got my tattoo when I turned 18. I did it behind my parent's back and hid it from them for a year. It was fun and it reminds me of good times!

I have lots... One is a rose, one is a fat little yellow bird on a rose stem, I have butterflies and snowflakes with initials, an enigma which is a tattoo design that changes from a black swan to a question mark depending on how you look at it, I have a strand of orchids and the lords prayer in Aramaic.

Tattoos

I have four:
Cross on my upper right arm
Rose on my upper left arm
Fairy on my left shoulder
And the words New York City on my right wrist

I am going to be getting a memorial tattoo of my dog who passed away on my right shoulder. Also want to get a half sleeve on my right arm.

I love tattoos and how they show a person’s individuality. They are unique and tell stories. They are not for everyone and some people dislike them and think those who have them are stupid, dirty etc. You can’t please everyone. Follow yourself and don’t care what others think.

Yes i have one, its a rose on my left chest. If people choose to express them selves w/ body art, that is their choice. this doesn't make them any certain kind of person.

Appreciate the tatoo for what it is and the person for what they are and let it be.
