Alright I can remember watching the cosby show years ago all the time with my mom and i still watch reruns cause i thought i was great.
I have always been confused in the early years of the show Where was Sandra?
Like really denise was say 15/16 rudy was like 5
So where was this child of theirs I don't even remember her name ever mentioned

no there is no way she was old enough already be attending princeton
she did that after the other kids had grown up a little
before she got married to alvin and had the twins

In the first season, they didn't actually have her. There was one line where one of them said to the other, "Why do we have four children?" answer- Because we didn't want five. Then at some point they added an oldest daughter and apparently we were supposed to forget that line. I didn't.

Sandra was away at college in the first season. Her first appearance on the show was her visit home from college. I agree that, is a nice range of children, a college student and a five year old and a few in between. But I think the theme of the show was Family. And the Cosby show depicted a full, loving family. From the baby girl on up. Does that help any?

Sandra was away at college.
The Cosby Show was loosely based on Bill Cosby's family. They added Sandra to the mix to give a different dimension since Bill Cosby only had 3 daughters and a son (with his wife Camille).

Sandra was on the show from the start. As was said she was off at college. Actually though I think that she wasn't around because I think she was on early on and then got she wanted off the show or something. Anyway she was off for so long because the Actress wasn't getting along with Bill Cosby.

Sandra was the oldest girl who was already in college.What I find even more coomfusing then your question is why they picked 2 girls who are obviously half white to play the daughters of the huxtables who were obviously 100% black.I'm not racist or anything but am I the only one that has noticed this?

Supposedly, Sandra was off in college, meeting Eldon, and not coming home for anything until they created the character. In fact, I'm not sure they even knew her until she came home the first time. You're right, she wasn't ever mentioned until the character first showed up.

in the early seasons, sandra was home but by season 3 she went away to college and and came home to visit during breaks. that's when she met elvin.

I would have loved to be one of Bill Cosby's children it would have ruled!
