In the late 70s and most of the 80s british runners dominated middle distance running and these athletes mentioned was the most successful.i was a massive seb coe fan and ive never seen anyone train as hard has he did,and his dedication to hard work payed off with olympic gold and silver medals.

Ovett - 2 medals in Olympics - 4 medals in European Championships

I would say that Coe was the best.

for me it would be Seb Coe but I think that is mainly down to the fact that I used to see him out jogging when I was on my way to school. but I also admire Steve Cram and Steve Ovett for everything they achieved.

It has to be Ovett. Coe was/is so smarmy. Cram was not so talented.
