We can't just leave now, the country would fall into total chaos far worse then it is now. We unfortunantly need to ride it out and continue to train Iraq forces. I think we can moderatly withdraw forces. Probably about 5-10K a month. We still need to keep areas of Bagdad secure and insure that militants wont terrorize the oil pipeline or the people. We also need to presure the Iraq gov't to crack down on corruption within the gov't and the public.

It seems civil war is inevitable. Unfortunately cutting and running as we usually do will leave us in a worse position then when we started. There are no "easy" answers here. We wouldn't be in this position if our so called allies joined us in the fight from the get go. It may be time to divide and conquer. Leaving whichever sect that would best suit our needs in power with an arsenal that would rival Israels. Too many rivaling factions that are heavily armed. Though if the current government is securely armed and trained the potential for success is great. The Iraqi's will get the meaning of the message," There's a new sheriff in town and his name isn't George Bush.". If the new democratic government could effectively snuff out any sectarian violence without the aide of the U.S. this country can prosper and have a wonderful future.

There is no best thing for the US to do, "IN" Iraq!!! The best thing for Iraq AND the best thing for the US, would be for all US troops to be removed from Iraq, permanantly, so, they can get on with the rebuilding and running of their country, and US troops can come home, while they are still alive!!! US corporations should be removed from Iraq, as well, unless the government of Iraq decides, that a company should be allowed to participate in a fair and just bidding process, as to the awarding of contracts, on a job to job basis, with preference given, of course, to Iraqi companies!!! The US, of course, SHOULD be made to pay for the rebuilding of everything they have destroyed!!!
That's my opinion, an', 'til I'm shown better, I'm a stickin' to it!!!

=================
1- Get back your invading troops as soon as possible.
2- Compensate the Iraqis for every single drop of blood you shed there, every bridge and house you damaged and every damage your troops inflicted upon the country.
3- Apologize publically for the rape and murder of those Iraqi children (though media talks about one only).
4- Prosecute the Americans who were and still are responsible for the destruction of Iraq and death of 250,000 Iraqi civilians. This shall include theose in-charge, from top to toe.
5- Allocate the Iraq War budget to reconstruction and compensation of the country.
6- Get rid or annihilate the Iraqis who took power at the expense of the Iraqi blood. NAMELY, those who came back to Iraq on the American tanks.
7- Recover all the money stolen by Paul Bremer, the first American Governor appointed by the Americans, and spend it on revamping Iraq.
THAT MIGHT SUFFICE, .. BUT:
I would rather you medically disinfected every footprint of the AMERICAN blood-tainted foot in Iraq.
a BONUS might be: fix a note round the neck of Blair that reads: LIAR.

this is a question that can only be answered if you pick a bias if you support our government and our"freedom" then the best thing to believe in is to support the war. however if you do not support our governments standard laws and regulations then you should look more towards stopping the war because this whole war was based upon what one person said to another person starting a small conflict leading to what could possibly be the next world war. Then you have your religious bias and if you follow through with that that could be what you think should happen but that would depend on what religion you have.

Get out now.
I would love for the UN to have some balls, and set up 3 distinct states, have borders created, and share Bagdad as the capital, like DC. Call it something like the "United Iraqi People's Power." Use UN forces to police the borders.Use the trained Iraqis to protect the safety of Bagdad and the government officials and ambassadors.
Those people have been policed and bashed and shoved around for centuries. They need to police themselves, have a united, and a separate indentity, much like the difference between a Californian, a Mainer, and a Georgian, all American, but each with a history, culture, and rules unique to each state.
We don't need to lose another person to force them to do what Bush sees as his legacy.
Call your Congressman. Vote the ba*&^^rds out.

I was against the war but we need to sort Iraq out before we leave. The coalition forces tore apart a country when they went in, whether it was for good or ill they took away everything the popultion knew. We need to stablise the mess we made before we pull out.
