Sorry, I meant "which" and not "what".

Didn't mean the album cover, but a song cover: that is, another artist or band recording the same song with more or less the same musical style. A song version is the same song but with a different musical approach.

I like this question. I think Rufus Wainwright's version of 'Across The Universe' is excellent, as is Elliott Smith's 'Because'. I love the Pixies doing 'Wild Honey Pie' because it's so manic and 60ft Dolls 'Everbody's got something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey' is quite good too - really fast.
My favourite though, is The Breeders version of 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun', so dark and sinister, and Kim Deal has the best voice ever.

The only cover version of a Beatles song that I ever liked more than the original was "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by Elton John

I, personally, don't think the covers are as good, so I'm not going to pick one. I think it kind of takes away from the spirit of the song when someone redoes it. Given, there are some really good covers, and for some bands I think the covers are better than the origional, but for the Beatles I think the origionals are best.

The singer Aimee Mann and her husband Michael Penn (The actor Sean Penn's brother), covered "Two Of Us" on the "I am Sam" soundtrack. Its almost identical to The Fab's version on Let It Be. A good cover version considering most Beatles covers are awful.

Best Beatles cover: Jimi Hendrix Experience doing 'Day Tripper' on the Radio 1 sessions album - Rocks even harder than the original.

Worst Beatles Cover: ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ by England’s 1970 World Cup squad. No wonder they got knocked out. Painful to listen to…
