Hargreaves's performances in the Champions League semi final against Real Madrid put him in the international spotlight as he showed he was capable of holding his own against the likes of Roberto Carlos and LuÃs Figo.
Due to his parentage, he could have chosen to play internationally for Canada, England or Wales. Despite spending his formative soccer years on a junior team called Calgary Foothills FC, Hargreaves decided in 2001 to suit up internationally for England, not Canada. Perhaps this was the right decision; he's now a member of England's World Cup roster.
Without any doubt Canada has good soccer players but since their major sport is hockey they don't really support soccer as much as they should..I think it's sad because there are alot of soccer fans in Canada!

I have no idea, since it seems that no one really knows about the Canadian team. The only time they ever qualified for the first round was in... 1986, I think.

Frankly that never crossed my mind.I've never seen the Canadian team play football before.Maybe our Canadian friends can help us on this one.
