Dogs always are happy to see you and give you unconditional love. Cats are nice but more aloof and finicky.

I´d definitely rather have a dog because dogs are:
more fun
loyal
are always happy to see you
don´t have mood swings the way cats do
are dependent
and a man´s best friend!

I would rather have a dog, simply because they seem to be more interested in the affairs of humans; and thus more interactive. But, cats in my opinion are definetely smarter and easier to take care of than a dog. My dream dog would be a pure black Great Dane, just because it reminds me of Bruce Wayne's dog in Batman.

They both have good points and bad points, it depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. You don't have to train a cat, but yet you can't take them for a walk or let them out in the yard. Dogs are definately worth getting if you have time to train them, and can give them lots of attention.

A dog anyday. Dogs save lives daily, are very easy to train if worked with daily. Cats are good for nothing other than pooping, eating, sleeping and eating bugs!
Cats are little snobs, act timid, shy, and too good. There cat poop stinks horrible, makes your home smell awful if it is a indoor cat.

A dog. I hate cats. They're a pain in the butt and they spray all over everthing and stink up the whole place. Dogs really are man's best friend. They are very loyal and faithful.

I would rather have a dog so I bought one a big Germansheppard. I like it when he jumps the fence to nail my neighbors Australian Shitzu and they stay stuck for hours

I'd rather have a cat because a cat doesn't spit all over you, sniff your crotch, bark, chase cars, etc. Dogs are pretty disgusting.
