I have loosed my job for a simple mistake?

I m a chauffer in a travels company known as routes rent-a-car it was a rainy day in India Bombay when suddenly a taxi came across and hit my car it was the mistake of that taxi driver then I have lodge an FIR against taxi driver and acquired the NOC for the insurance from the police station then the big fish my boss he sacked me for this simple mistake while other too have done such accident. Our guest who is an Australian have witness the accident and he have requested the company not to sack me because it was not my fault but my boss who have sacked me before 2 year then he came to the post again he sacked me again before that all was going smooth and well I m not a beggar i m quite depressed because I m the only one earning in my family. I feel that my boss have some religious problem because I m a Muslim and he is a Hindu Brahmin that could the reason or some thing else I cant figure it out please help me.

Yes, life seems to be quite unfair, sometimes.

Suggest you put this episode behind you, and move on. Try to read and brush up on *defensive driving* techinques.

Hi Raju,

Is it factual question or Hypothetical. As there are some inconsistencies
- Your name (Raju) does not appear to be Muslim
- Have not heard of any company Routes Rent-a-Car in Mumbai

Anyway leave this what I can think of:
- There would be some one above your boss - go and tell him the actual situation and explain that the same person sacked you 2 years back and you came back and worked properly again with out any mistake anytime.
- Take a letter from Australian guest explaining the incident and that you were not at fault
- Try to get a prelim investigation from Police in your favour
- Present all these to your boss or his boss and let them decide
- In case they still decide against you then join other company and file a complaint against them as any bias on gender, religion, caste etc is prohibited as per Indian constitution and they can land in serious trouble for this.

I also feel it was not your fault. Maybe you should try to explain it to your boss in a nice way. I know how traffic in Mumbai is and its a hit or miss sort of a situation.

Try telling your boss, if he does not listen then wait for FIR against the taxi driver to be solved to your innocence can be proved

It is hard to know what someone's motive is when you can't talk to them. Try talking to your boss (nicely) and ask him why you lost your job. He is the only one who really knows the answer to that. Good luck.
