My boyfriend James is real smart and when we start going out I notice he didn't know how to come at me in a way.And he was scared to hug me and we really didn't talk alot at the time.But now where close but not as close at a couple should be. And my friends have been telling me to make the first move and kiss him so he'll know it's ok to kiss me. But I don't want to do that cause it'll make him think that I'm fast and I'm not.But another thing is that he's never outside he's always at work cause his mom makes him work,and when your like 14 or 15 you really don't have to work.So when he did come outside we was having a good time with are friends and then he had to leave.So when he was going to leave he gave me a hug then are friend said,"No give her a kiss" so I'm like scard cause I was think was he going to do it. And I can tell he probably didn't want to cause everyone was around.So James said,"naw i'm straight", so when he said that I was kind of hurt cause he didn't want to do it.

dont worry he is shy. you should make the first move by kissing him, and tell him how you feel about him.

I am the school advise columnist for my high school and i have the same problem every week. I see that you might feel Ur not close but maby he expresses is affection in a different way maby by being shy or buying u gifts its all up to his attitude if hes grumpy alot he probably is the right one for u or maby hes shy because of something going on at home so daily ask him how he is and ifs everything is good most of the time boys don't like to talk that's normal but to hide his feeling he will probably say "fine or good" u can never truly tell. If u really wanna get close with him invite him to dinner take a walk with him and ask him what is going on. The most important thing is to be there for him always also don't push it to far he will kiss and hug u when hes ready and i guaranteed that when u talk to him and start a conversation hes most likely to open up but just be soft with him and try to under stand his problem.

maybe, "james" isnt ready to be in any relationship right now, so it best you start to act more as a friend than girlfriend. let him know whats going down.. yes, u want him to come more towards u in a more mature and aggressive way.. but hes just not ready... you will be hurt but still if you lve him, you have to wait on him to break out of this shy shell. or maybe his GAY ( just saying, lol)
