Strangely enough... The things that are supposed to make most people happy like; friends and family and groups and exercise classes and all that happy horse sh*it...

That is the stuff that depresses the sh*it out of me! I went to "meet your teacher night" yesterday with my son and all the parents were all girlie and gushy and interested and talking, hugging and squealing like happy little 'mommie and me' play group drones with their little piggies in tow doing the very same thing... It kind of makes me sick! I loathe all of the normal, everyday human habits and traits and therefore this world does tend to make me miserable when I am forced into the stepford mindset...

I happen to hate pretence and phonies so as long as I am left alone... I am very, very happy!

If you define 'happy' and give me a scale by which I may measure it then maybe I could tell you.
It's an emotion which is forever changing, like being stood on top of a mountain inside a cloud, you can't really hold it whereas to be sad is like carrying a stone in ones pocket, you can touch it and feel how 'real' it is at any time. This is why it is easier to be sure of when we are sad yet we need to analyze when we are happy.

YES. Iam happy almost all the time.
is that all you want to know or do u want to ask why or how ?
I believe that hapiness is not in things, luxuries, money or dependent on situation or circumstances. Hapiness is in our own hear.

Hapiness is the state of mind. If you are positive minded, you can always find something good, interesting and pleasant in everything. We can see the positive side of even the greatest disaster. So, if we want we can be happy, provided that we have a proper control on our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Also we can gain hapiness by being selfless, by helping others particularly those who cannot return back the favour :-)
Good luck. bye

That is a question for the ages...no one is truely happy as happy is a fleeting emotion that is often in conflict with your social hierarchy and responsibilities one can say however that happiness is just a moment in time that makes you feel better about yourself and the world around you.

Albert Camus said : You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.

with this said: yes I am happy...for the most part.
What would make me happier would be to move back to my home state and be close to my family and friends but until that happens, I will be happy here with all of you while no one is home.
