It implies the pre-teen, post teen "Stereotypical" size range. Wear it if you can get away with it.

Biggest bunch of stupid answers I have ever seen, the person asking, like myself want to know if a "junior" advertised piece of clothing would fit an average 8 year old. Obviously the answer is NO, but people who don't buy these sizes regularly don't have any idea what age range a clothing size is based on. Toddler, kids, youth, junior, misses, what the hell? Thanks to those who saw the question for what it is an replied sensibly.

Well its not so much of an age issue its a size issue. Once you've come out of the size 16 in kids....you go to Juniors anywhere from 12 yrs and up starting at size "0"

13 until mid 20's, but it doesnt really imply age, it implies styles of clothing desired more in an age group.

From about age 11 to 18. Or, if you're lucky and your a** hasn't spread out any, you can probably wear them on into your 20's. I can still wear the shirts, but I have to buy the larges, and I can get into the jeans, but they don't feel that great...probably because I'm 35 and I've had three kids and I have an a** now!!! :)

I think it depends on your body size. I would say 12-mid 20's. I just turned 14 a few weeks ago and I am just now starting to fit in juniors shirts. I buy my jeans somewhere else. Like at pacsun or the body shop or vanity.

Usually i guess 13 or 14 to 16 or 17. But it doesn't matter the age as long as it is age appropriate. my mom bought a two junior tank tops but not the spaghetti strap ones and she wore them under this cute black jacket.

Its a size range, not an age range. Personally I would die if I ever was considered out of the size range
