I have just removed ceramic tiles from my garden that have been there for many years and when they were lifted the concrete has stayed on the surface - I have a hammer and chisel but very time consuming - Any suggestions??

My husband and I just finished tearing up 28ft of asphalt driveway ourselves , using a pavement grinder cutting the asphalt into a grid pattern, and then taking a handheld hammer drill and prying the pieces apart . It wasn't easy and the equipment was heavy but perhaps you could just try the hammer drill and break the concrete into smaller pieces.

Hire a jack hammer from places like HSS. Be prepared for the noise and vibration.

no short-cut to this one - either break it up and remove it, or build soil up on top of it - good luck!
