Funny you should mention that. I was so damn down in the dumps yesterday and I don't know why. I took off from work an extra hour early and went home, cooked dinner and was just able to relax. I went to bed at 10 and feel great today.
I get this way about once every 8 months or so. just a "blue funk' day. must be biorythms or barometric pressure or something. Sometimes all the little junk in life can sneak up on you unawares and make you feel down.
I mean I certainally wasn't in any mood to jump off a bridge. Just a "blah" feeling.

You may have depression. Check with a doctor. I have bipolar affective disorder, once called manic-depression. I have peeriods in which I am excited, optimistic and hyperactive. I may sleep only two hours a night. After a while, I burn out and feel so sad and pessimistic that it is hard to describe. After taking many medicines for years, I have everything under control. I once took lithium carbonate, but now depakote works better and has no side effects. My brother had depression without the mania. We inherited it from Dad.

The hormonal level in your body will make you feel this way. A song, a word, a place, etc. can trigger your hormones to make you react in a way that makes you feel sad.

Not a good sign, You need to talk to one you can trust about something that's bothering you , weather it be something that happened not to long ago or something from your past, but do talk it out or it can get worse. If you don't feel there is anyone on earth you can trust, talk it out with God. God Bless

it's our moods and our ability to see the real state of life we are really in... especially spiritually.
maybe subconciously we think of things that bring us down, or we get in a rut with the same old things, or maybe it is like the Bible says...."miserable man that I am....man is short lived and glutted with agitation."
we have to make ourselves feel good, happy, content.
